As spring begins to bloom, it’s time to spruce up your wardrobe for the season. From March 16 to 22, we’re celebrating National Clean Out Your Closet Week, and we want YOU to join Goodwill! We’ve created a 7-day guide to help you declutter your space while supporting a great cause:

Set your intentions! Start your week by taking time to reflect on your wardrobe. Go through each section—clothing, housewares, accessories—and think about what you use often and what’s just taking up space. If you haven’t used it in the last year, it might be time to part ways with it.

Pack it up! Gather all your donations into bags or boxes. If you’re unsure about some items, set them aside for a “maybe” pile and revisit them later.

Make it fun! Consider hosting a Goodwill donation drive in your neighborhood. You can encourage friends, family and neighbors to donate to Goodwill, and collect items from their front door to make it even easier for them.

Take action! If you have a local Goodwill drop-off location, pack up your donations and drive them there. No time to drop off a nearby Goodwill? No problem! We offer pickup services through ReSupply and Uber.

You did it! Once you’ve donated your items, don’t forget to collect your donation receipt* from Goodwill for tax purposes.
*If you used our donation pickup service, you will receive a digital receipt after your donation.

Start fresh! Now that you’ve made room, it’s time to add new items for spring. Visit your local Goodwill for some thrifting fun. Shopping at Goodwill supports our mission of providing job opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment, while also helping reduce waste—what could be better?

Support Goodwill! As you wind down your week, take a moment to reflect on how your donations are making a positive impact. The proceeds from your generous donations fund job training programs and career-building initiatives. You’re not just cleaning out your closet—you’re helping local individuals improve their lives and build a better future.
Do you or someone you know need services? Consider enrolling in one of Goodwill’s job training programs.
By the end of the week, you’ll have cleaned out your closet, made a positive impact on your community, and hopefully, had a little fun along the way. 🌟
Happy Spring!
