At 16, I encountered medical complications during my pregnancy and had to drop out of high school. Everything changed when I enrolled in Goodwill’s Helms Academy. Despite living in a homeless shelter, managing childcare and transportation challenges, my instructor provided the support I needed to stay focused and motivated. In just two months, I passed my GED exam. I am proof that you can do it too.
