A year ago, I never thought I would finish school and further my education. Now, only about four months after obtaining my high school equivalency diploma, I am enrolled at Community College of Philadelphia as a nursing student! It has always been my dream to become a nurse, but I didn’t believe I could achieve it until I started Goodwill’s Helms Academy. I’ve also received numerous job opportunities in hospitals now that I’m a nursing student. A year ago, I couldn’t find a good-paying job because I didn’t have a diploma. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was enrolling in Helms Academy. I don’t know where I would be right now if I hadn’t taken that step to get my life on track.
